GETHSEMANE PRAYER MINISTRY

Gethsemane Lutheran Church has a prayer chain, both a telephone chain and an e-mail prayer chain where we ask God to remember our members, families of members, friends of members, or anyone who are ill, are having surgery, are going through hard times, have lost a loved one – whatever the need for prayer might be. There are also requests for prayers of thanksgiving -- equally important to our congregation and our prayer mission.

Prayer requests are e-mailed or called in to the church office or to Lyn Somerville, our Office Administrator. Lyn then sends out a prayer request by e-mail, naming the person or persons who need prayer, to our e-mail prayer team. She also calls the leader of our telephone prayer chain, who then calls a member of that prayer chain, who then calls another member, etc., until all members of the telephone prayer chain are reached.
