A Message from Pastor Troy Schmidt

Rev. Troy Schmidt will be installed November 16th as Senior Pastor of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and School, 1035 E. Guadalupe Rd, in south Tempe. Pastor Troy was ordained in 2004 and since has served as associate pastor at Gloria Dei, one of the largest churches in Houston, TX. A native of Michigan, he has a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and a B.A. from Concordia University, Austin, TX. He and his wife Cristy have two daughters, Haley and Avery.

Commenting on his arrival here at Gethsemane, Pastor Troy says "I am excited about joining the people of Gethsemane, together we will seek to be the church God has called us to be.
