OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE

Gethsemane Lutheran Church has many opportunities for those who wish to help the church and its ministries.

Opportunities to serve include:

• Teach Sunday School
• Work with Jr. and Sr. Youth
• Lead or join a Life Circle worship group
• Join the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML)
• Join SAM (Senior Adult Ministry – 55 years and older)
• Be a part of the Prayer Ministry by volunteering for the Prayer Chain
• Be a Shepherd, contacting families in the congregation
• Be a Stephen Minister, a caregiver in our church and community
• Join the Altar Guild
• Serve coffee and refreshments between worship services
• Be an usher
• Be a greeter
• Be a worship reader
• Sing in the choir
• Play piano, organ, or other instrument
• Join the bell choir
• Be a nursery helper
• Be on the counting team
• Answer phones in church office
• Assemble bulletins and flyers
• Provide transportation
• Help with carpentry, electrical, landscaping, plumbing, painting
• Help with outside campus cleanup and inside repairs
• Provide transportation
• Help manage the church library
• Design and sew church banners
